Come celebrate the extra 10 seconds we have of daylight today (according to the DNM) by having a drinking and bad-mouthing Bush while we still can. Of course we always have Palin to rail against.

Tonight, Big Daddy's in Downtown Fairbanks at 6:30pm. Good food, good beer, and good company.

Hey all,

So we would normally be having a DL event this wed but because of Christmas the Interior Dems meeting is this Wed and a good number of regulars (myself included) must attend the dem meeting at 6:30pm in the Stone Soup Center on Wed the 17th.

If Robert's rules meetings are not your cup of tea then I suggest attending Representative David Guttenberg's fundraising auction event at the Well Street Art Gallery from 5:30pm till 7:30pm (not quite 100% sure on the times but I'm pretty sure I'm right).

I'm always willing to meet after the meeting at around 8:30pm at a bar in downtown fairbanks (as do a few other people at the meeting) so send me an email or call 978-2931 to arrange a place.

I would like to have one last event before the new year, so I will throw out the possibility of meeting next Monday, December 22 at 6:30pm at, well, let's say Big Daddy's (unless someone suggest somewhere else).

So This week, go to the Last candidate fundraiser until May 2009, I mean it, no more, state law doesn't allow it... at least for state races, I'm not counting fundraiser for Borough Mayor that can probably start sooner.

Hey all,

We'll be meeting next week at Bid Daddy's on Wed. December 3rd at 6:30pm. Big Daddy's is downtown between first and Second avenue.

Special Guest: Senator-Elect Mark Begich. Well, he's not really our guest as much as he is having a thank you party for all Fairbanks Supporters at Big Daddy's from 5pm to 6:30pm and I think it is only appropriate that we meet with him to help celebrate the first Democratic Senator since 1980.

In other news, in case you haven't heard yet, Karl Kassel Democrat in District 7 has won by 2 votes over Mike Kelly. Kelly can still ask for a recount and this race is not over, but I'd rather be up by 2 going into the recount than down by 1.

Now if you are thinking to yourself, we couldn't possibly have anything to talk about now that the elections are over, well you'd be wrong and I'd question your sanity. Possible topics include our favorite Gov., Obama's transition, our new Senator, future legislation that we want passed--local or federal. So come on down to Big Daddy's, share a pint, celebrate our victory once again.

Remember, next month we'll probably start complaining about why the Dems aren't doing enough, so this will may be the last celebratory DL for awhile.

Hey all,

So tomorrow is generally a DL night, but I will not be able to make it until later till 8:30 PM due to the monthly democratic business meeting being moved up this due to Thanksgiving (and next month as well due to Xmas eve).

Since I know several people that normally attend DL will be at the meeting. I am proposing that we meet at Big Daddy's at 8:30pm. All our welcome to attend the Democratic Business meeting or go to Big Daddy's earlier than 8:30pm.

I look forward to hearing your opinions on the election, Liebermann, Clinton for Sec of State and all the other transition issues.
